Due to the weather forecast, the 4th Annual Cardboard Boat Regatta has been rescheduled from Saturday, 8/3, to Saturday, 8/10. Our sincere apologies for any inconvenience, but we can’t wait to see you all next Saturday! For more information, please call Teri Sawyer, (706) 268-1115.

Calling all creative, ingenious thinkers, builders and captains! Now is the time to start crafting your cardboard creation. Only cardboard, glue, tape and paint can be used to construct the boat. Google and YouTube have a wealth of helpful hints, tips and designs available. Gather old cardboard boxes or find a cardboard distributor that sells large sheets of cardboard, pick your boat’s theme, design the craft and then test it on the waters of Lake Sconti! While your boat design may be simple and sturdy, be creative and over-the-top with your theme. Official registration forms along with the rules and regulations are available on the Big Canoe POA website, www.BigCanoePOA.org.
Event participation is open to all Big Canoe Property Owners and their guests. Come out and vote for a favorite boat and cheer on the contestants!
