DESCRIPTION:Oktoberfest Arts & Craft Festival\nSaturday\, October 13\, 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.\nWildcat Recreation Area \nPull out your Lederhosen and beer steins for the annual Big Canoe Oktoberfest Art & Crafts Festival. Big Canoe Property Owners and their guests should plan to arrive early. Gates open at 10:00 a.m. for guests to discover over 50 art and crafts vendors. Wares range from pottery\, custom furniture to handmade jewelry and many are made by Big Canoe residents.\nAre you looking for der biergarten? The beer wagon will be ready to serve guests at 10:00 a.m. Come early. Stay late. Oktoberfest runs until 5:00 p.m. so patrons can delight in the German Oompah band\, The Georgia Polka Connection\, well into the evening. \nFor those youngsters under 21 years of age\, visit the “Kids Corner” and will feature Halloween-themed arts & crafts\, temporary tattoos\, carnival games\, two inflatable obstacle courses for different age groups and so much more. Look for the big red and white striped tent. \nParking is very limited at the Wildcat Recreation Area. Therefore\, shuttle buses will transport guests from the Big Canoe Chapel Lower Parking Lot. Shuttles will run from 9:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. If needed\, handicap parking will be available at the Wildcat Recreation area. Big Canoe Oktoberfest 2018 is set to be the best yet! Prost!

If donating\, we can distribute to local charities\, or thrift shops\, to be announced at the end of the day. \nI’ve never put together a swap/donation day\, so it could be a disaster\, and the kids might cry when they see their stuff headed off to a new home\, so be sure to bring plenty of snacks/drinks and sugar to soothe their spirits. LOL🤣. \nI’d like to keep it enjoyable\, so there’s no set rules\, y’all are grown-ups and can sort it out on the fly. A loose structure\, focusing mainly on their (our 😬😛) socialization\, as opposed to dollar-for-dollar swapping. Please remember\, these are your friends and neighbors\, so if it’s something you’d like to receive a nominal fee for\, please consider selling it on one of the Big Canoe marketplace pages. \nI look forward to seeing and serving y’all!\n🛶❤️One Love❤️🛶 \nIf you have questions\, comments or concerns please let me know.\nxo Miss Sara 😊 \n**Note**\nThis event is geared towards the 6 and under group\, but we are an inclusive bunch\, so we are also happy to welcome children/teens of all ages and their items.
