DESCRIPTION:Let’s learn about minerals and their characteristics! \nWhat in the world is Moh’s Hardness Scale? How do you identify minerals? Discover fluorescence and various optical and physical properties as you learn the basics of minerals. This workshop includes hands-on activities\, take-home specimens to get your started\, and the opportunity to meet Tellus Curator Ryan Roney. Don’t delay in signing up – space is limited to the first 60 people. Make your reservations early! \nLimited space available. Prepaid reservations required. Reservations close at noon on Wednesday\, June 19\, 2019. Children must be accompanied by a paying adult. Cancellation policy: 48 hours before for full refund. \nCost is $15 for members and $30 for non-members. \nFOR AGES 8 AND UP\, NO EXCEPTIONS.
